Privacy & Cookies Policy

Last updated: August 2026

This policy explains how mayordyerforsenate.com — the campaign website of Mayor Bobby Dyer for Virginia State Senate, District 22 — handles your information. The short version: this site collects as little as possible.

Cookies & analytics

This website does not set advertising or analytics cookies, and it does not track you across other websites. To count page visits, it uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first measurement service that uses no cookies, collects no personal information, and does not follow you to other sites.

Information you choose to send us

When you submit the contact or volunteer form, the information you typed — your name, contact details, and message — is emailed directly to the campaign through a transactional email service. It is used only to reply to you and to keep you updated about the campaign. If the form cannot reach the campaign's server, it opens your own email application instead, so you can see exactly what is being sent before you send it.

If you contact the campaign by email or mail, we may keep your name and contact details so that we can reply to you and keep you updated about the campaign. We do not sell your information.

Contributions

Contributions are processed by Anedot, a third-party payment processor, on their own secure pages. This website never sees or stores your payment card details. Anedot's handling of your information is governed by their own privacy policy.

Virginia law requires political campaigns to publicly report certain information about contributors, including name, address, occupation, and employer, above thresholds set by the Commonwealth. Information required by law is disclosed in campaign finance reports filed with the Virginia Department of Elections.

Links to other sites

This site links to outside pages, including the Virginia Department of Elections. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and this policy does not cover them.
